This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established Personal Insolvency department and help shape the future direction of the team. We’re looking for a detail-driven and technically strong insolvency specialist with solid experience across IVA and bankruptcy processes, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to manage a busy and varied caseload.

⭐ The Role

As a Personal Insolvency Administrator / Assistant Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of cases from initial instruction through to closure. You’ll ensure all work meets the required regulatory standards, provide guidance and support to debtors, negotiate confidently with creditors, and assist Insolvency Practitioners with escalations and complex scenarios. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and enjoys delivering high-quality case management.

📌 Key Responsibilities

🗂️ Case Management & Administration

• Manage personal insolvency cases end-to-end, ensuring compliance at every stage.

• Draft IVA proposals, modifications, annual reports, and outcome statements.

• Conduct detailed financial assessments and viability checks.

• Maintain accurate and compliant case records.

🤝 Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted contact for debtors, providing clear guidance throughout.

• Liaise with creditors, solicitors, and third parties, negotiating as required.

• Support Insolvency Practitioners with escalations and complex matters.

⚖️ Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with the Insolvency Act, Insolvency Rules, and IPA guidelines.

• Identify and escalate risks, breaches, or irregularities.

• Assist with quality reviews and continuous improvement.

📊 Operational Support

• Help the team meet statutory deadlines and performance targets.

• Collaborate with compliance, quality, operations, and finance teams for smooth case progression.

🧠 Skills & Experience

Essential:

✔ 4+ years’ experience in personal insolvency administration

✔ Strong knowledge of IVA & bankruptcy processes

✔ Understanding of Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016 & IPA requirements

✔ Experience managing high-volume case portfolios

✔ Excellent communication & creditor negotiation skills

✔ High accuracy and attention to detail

✔ Proficiency with IPS, Virtual Cabinet, Word & Excel
