Overview
A well-established and growing insolvency business based in Manchester is seeking a part-time appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner with strong experience in high-volume IVA cases. This role offers flexibility around working days and hours, making it ideal for an experienced IP looking to balance professional commitments while remaining hands-on in a regulated, volume IVA environment.

The Role
The successful candidate will act as the appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner on a portfolio of volume IVA cases, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely progression. You will work closely with senior management, compliance, and operational teams to maintain regulatory standards while supporting the continued success of the IVA function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner on volume IVA cases

  • Chair and oversee Meetings of Creditors and key IVA milestones

  • Review and approve IVA proposals, variations, and closures

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to IVA case administration teams

  • Ensure full compliance with insolvency legislation and regulatory requirements

  • Liaise with creditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders as required

  • Support internal compliance reviews and audits

Candidate Requirements

  • Fully licensed Insolvency Practitioner

  • Proven experience acting as an appointment-taking IP on volume IVAs

  • Strong technical knowledge of IVA legislation and regulatory standards

  • Comfortable working within a high-volume, process-driven IVA environment

  • Strong attention to detail with a pragmatic and commercial approach
