Imperium Financial Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Wilmslow, who are seeking an experienced Part-Time Payroll Manager to join their friendly and professional team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time position within a supportive accountancy practice.
You’ll oversee the payroll function for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing — while managing and supporting a small, dedicated payroll team.
🧾 Key Responsibilities:
✅ Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a portfolio of clients
✅ Supervise and support a small payroll team
✅ Ensure compliance with PAYE, RTI, Auto-Enrolment, and HMRC regulations
✅ Liaise with clients to resolve payroll queries and deliver exceptional service
✅ Oversee year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds, and submissions
✅ Work collaboratively with partners and managers to ensure smooth operations
🧠 Key Requirements:
⭐ Previous payroll management experience is essential
⭐ Experience within an accountancy practice preferred (not essential)
⭐ Strong knowledge of current payroll legislation
⭐ Excellent communication and organisational skills
⭐ Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
⭐ Experience with BrightPay, Sage, or similar payroll systems
